Hello everyone! This post will be about the internet-based project. While doing this group task, we had to pick a topic and create a wall on Padlet. For this, I, Buse, Ayben, Burcu, and Liva formed a group of five. Also, you can visit my friends’ blogs by clicking on their names.
Our lecturer gave us twelve topics and asked us to choose one of them. We chose air pollution, which has long been a major threat to the world. Then we created a KWL chart as requested by our teacher. We wrote down in three columns what we Know about the chosen topic, what we Want to know, and what we Learned afterward.
Actually, this isn’t my first encounter with the padlet. We learned how to use it and what it does in the Information Technologies course we took last year. Thus it wasn’t difficult for me to use this tool. For those who don’t know, padlet is a tool with which you can add short texts, notes, images, videos, etc. Moreover, it offers the opportunity to work as a group or individually. You can use it the way you want. Depending on the way you use it, Padlet can be an effective and entertaining information tool too. For instance; it helped our project to inform readers without boring. Besides, it gives students responsibility and communication skills through group work. Writing what has been learned by research into the Padlet also gives a creative and critical perspective. Finally, these explain how Padlet contributed to the development of 21st-century learning.
